2019 PARIS SUPERCROSS | COMPLETE COVERAGE

After yesterday’s announcement that Zach Osborne will sit out the 2019 Paris Supercross due to kidney stones, the event promoters of the race have hired Vince Friese to fill the vacancy in the entry list. The SmarTop/Bullfrog Spas/MotoConcepts/Honda rider will join teammates Malcolm Stewart and Justin Hill in the SX1/450 class and will compete against a field of racers that includes Dylan Ferrandis, Joey Savatgy, Justin Barcia, Jeremy Martin, Chad Reed, and a number of full-time contenders in the French SX Tour championship. Friese has raced this event in 2018, where he logged a sixth-place finish in Saturday night’s SX1 Main Event and fourth-place in Sunday night’s SX1 Main Event for a fourth-place overall finish.

Friese was a surprise front-runner at last month’s Monster Energy Cup, as he led a number of laps and went 4-5-5 in the three races for a fourth-place overall result. A longtime member of the MotoConcepts team, Friese is expected by many to have a breakout season in 2020.

The 2019 Paris Supercross takes place this weekend, November 9 and 10, at the Paris La Defense Arena in the La Defense neighborhood of the famed French city. We will make the trip over on Thursday, so be sure to follow our social media channels and check back to the site for more content from the race.
