2019 PARIS SUPERCROSS | COMPLETE COVERAGE

One of the biggest events of the offseason, the 2019 Paris Supercross, is set to run this weekend at the Paris La Defense Arena on the outskirts of the famed French city. It’s a tradition for the event promoters to pay American riders to attend and this year’s lineup is loaded with talent, but unfortunately, one of the highly billed riders has announced that he will be absent due to a health issue. Over the weekend we heard the word that Zach Osborne was likely to miss the race and on Monday morning the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing rider confirmed that a recent bout of kidney stones required a medical procedure, which has kept him from putting in time on the practice track.

This past year was Osborne’s rookie year in the 450 class and his top-five results overshadowed the few struggles he endured (a collarbone injury which kept him from the opening rounds of Supercross, then a separate small shoulder injury that sidelined him from RedBud). He will remain with Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing for the 2020 season as a part of a multi-year deal; expect confirmation of a contract extension with the team to be announced in the coming weeks.
