2020 AMA SUPERCROSS & MOTOCROSS PRO NUMBERS
2020 MONSTER ENERGY SUPERCROSS SERIES SCHEDULE

Our suntan from this year’s National motocross tour just faded, but today’s announcement of the 2020 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship schedule already has us planning for next year at the track. MX Sports, the promoters of the twelve-round series, have confirmed similar dates at the same twelve tracks as this past season with the opening round at Hangtown and the finale at Ironman.

There are changes from 2019 to 2020 worth pointing out. Instead of a three-round opening stretch of Hangtown, Fox Raceway, and Thunder Valley, the season will start with a four-round run to the recently added Florida venue. The decision to move the Florida race up a few weeks and into a break was no doubt done to address the high heat and humidity that racers faced in Jacksonville this past June. Props to the promoters for doing that, it’ll certainly help keep the riders at the best through the full summer.

The usual “summer break” between Washougal and Unadilla grows to two weeks in 2020, as the race in the Pacific Northwest will occur on July 25th and the race in upstate New York will happen on August 15th. That extra time should be enough to get riders rested and ready for the intense final push of the year, plus a chance for Loretta Lynn’s amateur graduates to get practiced up for a pro debut.

The full schedule, including proper name, venue, and city is posted in full below.
