Greetings from Georgia, site of the 2020 Mini Major East Coast! With some help from Matt Walker and the Moto X Compound, the Swapmoto Race Series crew has moved our popular little bikes only race to the other side of the country for a weekend of battles at Silver Dollar Motorsports Park. Seven MX, Stacyc, 6D Helmets, and Custom Upfits all saw how important it is to connect with the next generation of riders and we appreciate their support for our first major venture outside of the Golden State.
Riders used Friday afternoon as their chance to get a feel for the track and we can’t lie, we’re super jealous. The sandy soil and flowing layout cut into the southern Georgia hills seem like a blast to ride and after seeing the youngsters ride laps really made us wish we had loaded a bike in the back of the van or even a birth certificate to alter so we could line up in the SuperMini class.
Check out the photos from Day One, which started on the main track and ended on the Stacyc Supercross course. If you’re in the South and want to race, you can still make it! Sign-ups are still open and Saturday’s program starts at 7 AM.
