2021 ATLANTA THREE SUPERCROSS | COMPLETE COVERAGE

One more night in Georgia. Riders took to the revamped track at Atlanta Motor Speedway during three sessions of practice at the 2021 Atlanta Three Supercross, and from the look of the lap times, they’ve found all the fast lines around the massive layout. It’ll be another night of  1:40-plus laps. Here are the qualifying results from the fifteenth round of the 2021 Monster Energy Supercross Series.

2021 ATLANTA THREE SUPERCROSS | 250 WEST COAST REGION

Hunter Lawrence held the top spot in the 250 Class all afternoon. The Team Honda HRC rider was considerably quicker than the competition in both sessions and his 1:39.208 in the final run was nearly a second quicker than championship leader Justin Cooper (1:340.182) and more than a second better than the rest of the class.

Cameron McAdoo had a day. The Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider is still very sore from Tuesday’s slam, but is still in the title fight and was third-fastest in the class. Unfortunately, another wild get-off in the closing moments of qualifying roughed him up even more. He intends to race.

Garrett Marchbanks has been good during the week in Atlanta and a 1:41.820, the only rider in the class at 1:41, put the CLUBMX rider fourth overall in the afternoon time sheet.

Can Nate Thrasher end his Atlanta trip with another podium? The Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha rider and winner of Saturday’s race was fifth-fastest after a 1:42.226 time.

2021 ATLANTA THREE SUPERCROSS | 450 CLASS

This might be a stretch, but we’d say that Jason Anderson has been the standout rider of the time in Atlanta. The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing rider has finished on the podium (even after a trip to the LCQ) and for the second race in a row, was the top qualifier. Anderson was willing to send it off a single jump into the sand section and it helped him put in a 1:35.848, the only person in the 1:35 range.

Chase Sexton has been solid, too. The Team Honda HRC rider was second overall, thanks to a 1:36.078.

Will Ken Roczen chip away at more points in the championship tonight? The Team Honda HRC rider was third fastest in the field, and with teammate Sexton, was one of only two riders in the 1:36 range.

Malcolm Stewart comes into tonight’s race with a minor AC separation in his shoulder and some damaged ribs, the result of Tuesday’s endo, but it didn’t seem to faze the Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha rider. His 1:37.432 was good enough for fourth overall.

Dean Wilson has had an up and down run in Atlanta, but today seems to be going good for the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing rider. A 1:37.502 lap by Wilson was the fifth-fastest of the 450 Class.

Eli Tomac and Cooper Webb were sixth and seventh, respectively. Tomac put in a 1:37.626 and Webb a 1:38.024.
