2021 DAYTONA SUPERCROSS | COMPLETE COVERAGE

Timed Qualifying is complete at the 2021 Daytona Supercross. After a lengthy delay for lightning and rain in the morning, riders took to the perfectly-prepped track and put down laps during the two afternoon sessions.

250 WEST COAST | TIMED QUALIFYING

Justin Cooper held the top spot in the 250 Class all afternoon. The Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha rider was over a second faster than the rest of the field in the first Timed Qualifying with a 1:09.227, then found a way to go quicker in the last outing for a 1:08.913 lap.

Cameron McAdoo looks like he could be Cooper’s biggest competition in the 250 Class. The Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider was second overall thanks to a 1:09.539 time.

There’s plenty of hype about Garrett Marchbanks at this race. How could you not pay attention to last year’s winner at this event? The ClubMX/Jeffrey Homes/IAMACOMEBACK/FXR/Yamaha rider was third in the field with a 1:09.916 lap in the final session.

Jordon Smith is questionable for the night. The Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider was hit by another bike during the last practice and was taken away from the track by the medics for what looked to be a gash in his leg.

450 CLASS | TIMED QUALIFYING

Ken Roczen ended the afternoon as the fastest in the field, as the Team Honda HRC rider put down a 1:08.019 lap in the last practice. The incoming championship leader has never won in the 450 Class at Daytona.

Dylan Ferrandis was second overall in both rounds of the Timed Qualifying, an impressively consistent score at an ever-changing track. A 1:08.129 was the Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha rider’s best time.

Eli Tomac is always a favorite to win at the speedway and the Monster Energy Kawasaki rider reminded everyone why during qualifying. The four-time 450 Main Event winner was third overall with a 1:08.260.
