The 2022 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Series finale is officially upon us and it’s a hot one! The championship is back in Southern California, where it all started months ago, as Fox Raceway hosts round twelve. It was a bright and sunny morning in Pala, CA and certainly the hottest morning the series has experienced in 2022, adding to the anticipation for one more race day. Riders cut in lines during the morning’s practices, when the track was at its best during the early minutes of the first sessions.

Honda HRC’s Jett Lawrence was off to a great start at Fox Raceway, as he rocketed to the top of the leaderboards just before the clock ticked down to zero in the second and final session of timed-qualifying. Jett laid down a blistering fast 2:26.061, over half a second faster than the next best time.

Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha’s Justin Cooper worked his way around the technical rutted course and laid down a 2:26.623 late in the final session of qualifying.

Rj Hampshire continues his presence towards the front, as he logged the third fastest lap time this morning at Fox Raceway. The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider logged a 2:28.108 in the final session of qualifying to jump his name up the time sheets.

Though the title rivals swapped positions on the leaderboards a few times, Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha’s Eli Tomac ended up on top after laying down a blistering fast 2:24.345 late in the final session of qualifying.

Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Jason Anderson also logged his fastest lap time late in the second session, the 2:24.718 lap time was just a few hundredths off of Tomac’s time.

Honda HRC’s Chase Sexton was just behind with a 2:25.149. His lap time was third fastest but nearly a second slower than his title rivals.
