Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing will have a fleet of FC motorcycles on the track during the 2023 AMA race season, which includes the Monster Energy Supercross Championship, Pro Motocross Championship, and end-of-year SuperMotocross Championship. New addition Christian Craig will be a full-time competitor in the 450 Class alongside Malcolm Stewart, while RJ Hampshire and Jalek Swoll will continue their development as part of the 250 Class.

RJ Hampshire returns to Husqvarna for a third year. Although Hampshire was very outspoken about the bike through 2022, a career-first 250 Main Event win and solid results through SX-MX will keep him on it for another season. He has been assigned the West Coast region for Supercross.

Husqvarna has invested plenty in Jalek Swoll, which includes a place at the Baker’s Factory and an active agreement that runs through 2023. Swoll will lineup on the East Coast region for Supercross.

Hampshire and Swoll will wear FLY Racing helmets and gear, Gaerne boots, and SCOTT goggles, a look that’s put together by sponsorships to the team’s small-bore division.

Malcolm Stewart’s signing to Husqvarna was his first multi-year contract, a commitment to race the 450 Class (SX-MX-SMX) and be part of the team’s program (Baker’s Factory included) through 2023. He’ll continue to wear SEVEN MX gear, Shoei helmets, SCOTT goggles, and Gaerne boots.

Christian Craig chose a full-time 450 Class ride at Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing over Star Racing’s offer to defend the 250 West SX title and spend another summer in the 450 Class. A spot at the Baker’s Factory was one part of the new agreement, which put him alongside Webb-Plessinger-Stewart-Hampshire during training. Craig will wear Fox Racing from head-to-toe, including goggles, helmets, gear, and boots.

Longtime technician Chris Loredo has been promoted within the group and will now assist the team’s mechanics at races. Tyler Thomas has been assigned to work with Malcolm Stewart and Jared Warrick has joined the group to wrench for Christian Craig. Anthony Amos will look after RJ Hampshire’s bike and Jedidiah Rodriguez will continue with Jalek Swoll.

The group will bring Talon Hawkins into the professional ranks later in the year, during Pro Motocross.

Husqvarna has updated FC bikes to address the performance and handling issues that riders universally experienced in 2023, with the refined 450 again branded a “Rockstar Edition.”

There are a number of noticeable differences between the four bikes, including tapered and crossbar-equipped ProTaper handlebars, engine hangers, GUTS Racing seat covers, grip donuts, and WP suspension.
