2023 ANAHEIM ONE SUPERCROSS | COMPLETE COVERAGE
Motorcycle manufacturers, apparel companies, and hard part producers all spend considerable portions of their budgets on sponsorships for the top riders, so this breakdown of the 2023 Anaheim One Supercross gives an idea of how important brand recognition is at the highest level of our sport. The first recap under each rider’s name goes over the motorcycle manufacturer, suspension, handlebars, exhaust, and tires; the second covers gear, helmets, goggles, and boots.
In the 450 class, riders are able to work out deals from different companies for a look that’s all their own (Anderson-Webb-Tomac-Musquin-Plessinger-Nichols-Stewart) while others will score a massive paycheck from one company that puts them in the brand from head to toe (Roczen, Cianciarulo, Craig, Josh Hill). Although team-wide apparel deals aren’t as common in the 450 Class as they are the 250 Class, there are still a few like Fire Power Honda, Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing, and MADD Parts Kawasaki that have exclusive contracts for gear, helmets, and goggles.
Is your favorite brand as popular as you might think? Take a look at the lists below and scroll to the bottom for the grand totals.

– The potent YZ250F continues to be the motorcycle of choice in the small-bore division, as there were two factory-backed bikes (Kitchen & Robertson), three from OEM-supported teams (Lopes/Nicoletti/Thompson), and one put on the track by a privateer (Schlosser).
– The 450 SX-F was represented in the premier class by riders on two different iterations of the orange bike. Red Bull KTM’s three riders (Webb/Plessinger/Musquin) were aboard the latest Factory Edition while Team Tedder (Justin & Josh Hill) and privateer Kevin Moranz opted for the 2022 standard model, which is also homologated by the brand.
– Renthal remains the most used handlebar, thanks to sponsorship deals with Honda, KTM, GASGAS, and Kawasaki’s factory efforts, MotoConcepts, one part of the PMG team, Team Tedder, and Rock River.
– FMF Racing’s exhausts were the most popular in the 250 Class, but Pro Circuit had one more pipe on the track in the 450 Class.
– Showa was the most used suspension in both classes. The fork and shock are standard-issue on Honda, Suzuki, and Kawasaki bikes, and the company sends a fleet of technicians to every round to support teams.
– Dunlop’s domination continues, as the company’s tires were used by thirty-seven of the forty-four Main Event riders. Pirelli remains the only other tire supplier with a notable presence in the pit area, with much of their effort going to smaller teams and privateers.
– Fox Racing’s push to outfit riders from head-to-toe is paying off, as the iconic brand was at or near the top of the list in the gear, helmet, goggle, and boot categories.
– Although apparel titans like Fox Racing and THOR are still leaders, smaller brands like CANVAS, Fasthouse, SHOT, Circuit, and OG are starting to develop a presence in both classes.
– Bell Helmets were on a quarter of the Main Event contenders, with eleven Moto10s on the track.
– A collaborative effort between FXR and 6D boosted both brands in the helmet category.
– 100% has been the most used brand in eyewear for a while now, and it continues through sponsorship of teams like Star Racing and individuals like Lawrence, Webb, Ferrandis, Nichols, Plessinger, Musquin, and Starling.
– Alpinestars kicks were worn by more than half of the 450 Class.
