The 2023 Monster Energy Supercross Series is back on the East, as round thirteen of the tour is well underway in Atlanta. The fastest riders in the world spent Saturday morning learning the unique track that fills the center of Atlanta Motor Speedway, and to no surprise, the lap times are incredibly close. Just fractions of a second split the front-runners in the 250 East Coast and 450 Class on the qualifying sheets, which ratcheted up the anticipation for today’s event even more.

Here’s a look at the fastest lap times and results…

Nate Thrasher was already finding his flow at the venue where he’s found so much success, as the Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha rider laid down the fastest lap time of the morning. Thrasher’s 129.944 logged late in the final session of timed-qualifying made him the 250SX fastest qualifier.

Current 250SX East championship points leader Hunter Lawrence wasn’t far behind; the Team Honda HRC rider laid down a 129.989 just a few laps before Thrasher bettered the time.

After a forgettable previous race, Jordon Smith was off to a much better start in Atlanta. The Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha rider logged a 1:30.508 and rounded out the top-3 in 250SX timed-qualifying.

Yet again, Chase Sexton claimed the top step in 450SX timed-qualifying. The Team Honda HRC rider logged a 1:28.064, the fastest lap time of the morning, late in the final session of riding.

On the final lap of 450SX timed-qualifying, Adam Cianciarulo laid down the second fastest lap time of the morning. Adam’s 1:28.156 bumped his Monster Energy Kawasaki teammate out of second place.

Jason Anderson looked to be feeling the unique course at Atlanta Motor Speedway, as the Monster Energy Kawasaki rider logged the third fastest lap time, a 1:28.172.
