The 2023 Monster Energy Supercross Series has met the world center of racing, as the tour has landed in Daytona. The fastest riders in the world spent Saturday afternoon learning the track that fills the center of Daytona International Speedway, and to no surprise, the lap times are incredibly close. Just fractions of a second split the front-runners in the 250 East Coast and 450 Class on the qualifying sheets, which ratcheted up the anticipation for tonight’s racing even more.

Here’s a look at the fastest lap times and results…

Hunter Lawrence topped the charts early at Daytona, as he was the fastest qualifier in both sessions of 250SX timed-qualifying. The current 250SX East Championship points-leader logged a blistering fast 1:13.286 late in the final session of riding to land his Team Honda HRC CRF250R on top.

Yet again, Nate Thrasher was looking speedy, as he logged a 1:13.902 on his final lap of timed-qualifying to jump into second place on the time sheets.

Thrasher’s fastest lap time bumped his Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha teammate back to third place, as Jordon Smith’s 1:14.201 was just a few tenths off.

Chase Sexton continued to set ridiculous lap times, as he laid down a 1:11.990 in the early laps of the final 450SX timed-qualifying session. The Team Honda HRC rider topped the charts in each and every session of qualifying in Daytona.

Łatę in the final 450SX timed-qualifying session, Ken Roczen laid down a 1:12.399 that landed him in second place on the time sheets.

Jason Anderson was consistently fast throughout the afternoon in Daytona, as the Monster Energy Kawasaki rider logged a 1:12.889 – the third fastest lap time in 450SX qualifying.

Dylan Ferrandis was set to make his return to racing in Daytona after suffering a concussion a few weeks back. However, after going down hard during press day and then attempting to ride in the first timed-qualifying session, Dylan has decided to take another week off.

Colt Nichols had a get off in the first session of 450SX timed-qualifying that, unfortunately, ended his day. The Team Honda HRC racer went down in the same rhythm lane that Ferrandis crashed in on press day.
