The 2023 Monster Energy Supercross Series has landed in Indianapolis, as round nine of the tour is well underway. The fastest riders in the world spent Saturday afternoon learning the technical track that fills the center of Lucas Oil Stadium, and to no surprise, the lap times are incredibly close. Just fractions of a second split the front-runners in the 250 East Coast and 450 Class on the qualifying sheets, which ratcheted up the anticipation for tonight’s racing even more.

Here’s a look at the fastest lap times and results…

Team Honda HRC’s Hunter Lawrence bettered his time in the final timed-qualifying session and jumped to the top of the leaderboards. The current 250SX East championship points leader logged a blistering fast 46.060, nearly half a second faster than the next best time.

Aside from a last lap crash in the first session of timed-qualifying, Jordon Smith looked to be gelling with the technical track in Indianapolis. The Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha rider topped the charts in the first session and ended up in second place on the time sheets with a 46.605.

Nate Thrasher was just behind his Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha teammate on the time sheets, as his 46.758 landed him in third place in timed-qualifying.

Once again, Chase Sexton topped the charts in both sessions of timed-qualifying. The Team Honda HRC racer logged an impressive 45.215 early in the final session, which ultimately was the time to beat.

After laying down a 45.335, Ken Roczen jumped to second on the time sheets late in the final timed-qualifying session.

Jason Anderson had a consistent afternoon in Indianapolis, as the Monster Energy Kawasaki rider was near the top of the charts throughout both timed-qualifying sessions. Jason’s 45.623 landed him in third place on the time sheets.
