After having to reschedule the second round of the 2023 Monster Energy Supercross Series because of severe storms in Northern California, the tour has finally landed in Oakland. The fastest riders in the world spent Saturday afternoon learning the track that fills the floor of RingCentral Coliseum, and to no surprise, the lap times are incredibly close. Just fractions of a second split the front-runners in the 250 West Coast and 450 Class on the qualifying sheets, which ratcheted up the anticipation for tonight’s event even more.

Here’s a look at the fastest lap times and results…

Jett Lawrence maneuvered his way through the technical race course the quickest, as the Team Honda HRC rider topped the charts in both sessions of timed-qualifying. The current 250SX West championship points-leader logged a blistering fast 1:06.470 in the final session of riding.

Rj Hampshire was just behind in timed-qualifying, as the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider logged a 1:07.211 late in the final session of riding.

Much like Hampshire, Cameron McAdoo seemed to be all healed up after his crash at Anaheim Two. After laying down a 1:07.372 in the final session, the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider was third in timed-qualifying.

As expected, the whoops looked to be the most challenging part of the course in timed-qualifying. Stilez Robertson, Derek Drake, Phil Nicoletti, Derek Kelly and others hit the deck after their separate moments in the whoop sections.

Other than a crash in the whoops early in timed-qualifying, Chase Sexton was on point in the early morning sessions of riding. The Team Honda HRC rider topped the time sheets in both sessions of qualifying and ultimately held the fastest lap time with a 1:05.771.

Jason Anderson was the next name on the time sheets, as the Monster Energy Kawasaki rider logged a 1:06.210 in the final session of qualifying.

Eli Tomac bettered his qualifying position in the second session of riding, as the current 450SX championship points leader landed in third place overall with a 1:06.593 as his best lap time.
