The 2023 Monster Energy Supercross Series is in Tampa Florida, as the fifth race of the schedule is underway inside the home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The fastest riders in the world spent Saturday afternoon learning the track that fills the floor of Raymond James Stadium, and to no surprise, the lap times are incredibly close. Just fractions of a second split the front-runners in the 250 East Coast and 450 Class on the qualifying sheets, which ratcheted up the anticipation for tonight’s triple crown event even more.

Here’s a look at the fastest lap times and results…

Team Honda HRC’s Hunter Lawrence came out swinging in Tampa, as he logged a 49.708 in the final session of timed qualifying. That lap time landed the current 250SX East region championship points-leader in 1st place in overall 250SX qualifying.

Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha’s Jordon Smith landed in second place on the time sheets, as he logged a 50.081 in the final session of timed qualifying.

Max Anstie proved that last weekend’s success was no fluke, as he topped the charts in free-practice with the fastest lap time. Max ended up in third place on the time sheets, with a 50.345 as his fastest lap time in the timed-qualifying sessions.

After laying down a blistering fast 48.555 on the final lap, Team Honda HRC’s Chase Sexton topped the charts in 450SX timed-qualifying.

Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Jason Anderson bettered his time in the final session of timed-qualifying and logged a 48.599, just a few tenths off of the best lap time.

Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha’s Eli Tomac was the next name on the time sheets, as he logged a 48.711 and was the last rider to dip below a 49-second lap time.
