The Mile High City was set to host the penultimate round of the 2024 Monster Energy Supercross Championship. As the afternoon progressed, qualifying times dropped significantly as the track wore in. The top of the charts in each class saw the narrowest of margins between lap times, but the red-plate holders made statements by taking the top spots.

250SX
The momentum continues to swing in the favor of Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s RJ Hampshire, who set the top 250SX time at 54.546. Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Levi Kitchen, with all eyes on him after his crash in Nashville that saw him forfeit the 250SX West lead, nearly matched Hampshire with a 54.643. Just behind the top two, Monster Energy/Star Racing Yamaha’s Nate Thrasher, logged a nearly identical 54.672.

450SX
Jett Lawrence put down the fastest time on his Team Honda HRC ride, logging a 53.866 in the second session. Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Malcolm Stewart found his flow late in the day, landing second overall with a 54.104. With a 54.111, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Chase Sexton secured the third fastest lap.
