It just keeps going and getting better. Round thirteen of the Monster Energy Supercross Championship, the 2024 Foxborough Supercross, brought the two title fights even closer and upped the excitement for the final rounds of a historic season. Here’s what we saw in the Northeast.
Defend your vision.
HBI Racing has employed the proven independent team strategy of highlighting one sponsor through special graphics and gearsets. The farmboy look in Massachusetts was for Big Gus Tractor Equipment, a Florida dealer that specializes in Mahindra Tractors, JCB equipment, and SCAG mowers.
Hate to see AP’s season come to an early end. A hard crash on the landing of the triple in Free Practice left the Red Bull KTM rider with a chipped ulna bone and a swellbo, an injury that will heal on its on with some rest. The Cowboy expects to be on the line at Pala for round one of the Nationals.
Chase Sexton said that round thirteen was his best feeling on the 450 SX-F yet, and standing by the track, we would agree. The defending champion seemed to have some more fire in his riding, from the high lines he took around bowl corners to the pumps and scrubs he threw in the rhythm lanes during his pursuit of Ken Roczen.
The history of the New England Patriots, Gillette Stadium, and Foxborough is an interesting timeline from the old school owners like the Sullivan family to the modern generation of multi-team property and entertainment dynasties run by Robert Kraft. How’d the team change hands? A failed tour supporting The Jackson’s “Victory” album financed by the Sullivans is partly why. Gillette Stadium completed a $225 million renovation in 2023.
Kill switch, electric starter, map switch, RPM light display, hydraulic clutch, heartrate monitor. Zoom in to see everything that’s bolted or strapped to Chance Hymas’ handlebars.
The rookies
Number nine on the bike, number one in our hearts. Adam Cianciarulo’s five-race retirement tour began in Foxborough and the Monster Energy Kawasaki rider stopped by the media scrum after the Main Event to share his thoughts on the night and his outlook for the final gate drops. Watch HWYW to see what AC’s gameplan is on the track and what he thinks of his final battles as a pro.
Generation Next: Luke Fauser
A number of current and former NFL players spent their weekend at the stadium hanging out with teams like Dirt Bike Depot, talking with fans and TV, and seeing their usually pristine field get turned into an obstacle course.
What’s the RC Cola connection to the CREO KTM race crew? According to Team Principal Jeff Crutcher, the soda brand has a unique arrangement that will support professional athletes from Estonia in their journey to the US, a deal that they procured through Jorgen-Matthias Talviku.
Compare the start technique and body positions of riders in 250 Heat One…
Working Class Warriors Iziah Clark, Marcus Phelps, Vincent Luhovey, Corey Carsten, Lorenzo Locurcio, and Jack Rogers.
Congrats on the first checkered flag of your pro career, Chance. The Team Honda HRC rider has experienced a few ups and downs in his season and a half as a pro, including two torn ACLs, but the laps led in Massachusetts show there’s plenty of potential.
To the guys in 250 Heat Two. Any similarities or noticeable differences?
Although he won last year’s Supercross Futures national champion as a B Class racer, Casey Cochran was not credited with earning points toward his pro license (only A Class riders are allowed) and had to re-do a few Futures events in 2024. Now that all those requirements are complete, the teenager will complete the year with Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing in the 250 East Region of Supercross, Pro Motocross Championship, and SMX.
Cow print or plaid graphics and gear that looks like flowers/flannels/stonewash denim. We love to see what independent teams like HBI and CREO come up with to standout in a sea of lookalike operations. Good job, boys.
Although many expected a bike in British Racing Green, we’ve learned that yellow is Triumph’s color of choice for the off-road expansion. We’ll have more on this in the weeks to come.
How about that Heat Race start from Eli Tomac? The Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha rider’s flawless reaction to the gatedrop put him half a bike ahead of everyone fifteen feet out of the gate.
Soil Type: Gray and Gravely. The dirt used at Foxborough is much different than the sand of Southwick, which makes sense, given the 100 mile difference between the two Massachusetts cities.
One turn, two frames. Look at how Eli Tomac’s body positioning changed in the split-second between this press of the shutter button…
And this one.
Same For Justin Hill…
And his right leg.
Still at it, with no signs of slowing down.
Three quick lids on the starting line. Monster Energy/Airoh/Alpinestars/apdesigns came together for a special scheme that celebrated Jason Anderson’s daughter’s first birthday.
Korsace put some snow camo and red details onto a matte black Shoei with Rockstar Energy branding for Malcolm Stewart.
And AirTrix put a picture of Chase Sexton’s pup over his name on this Red Bull commissioned Alpinestars helmets.
Jett’s starts are going to be a big talking point in the weeks to come. The Team Honda HRC rider has stated that he’s prone to small mistakes on hard packed dirt, which is what we will definitely see at Denver and Salt Lake, and possibly in Nashville and Philadelphia.
As great as an Eli-Jett matchup would have been, the Cooper-Jett pairing might actually be better. Think about it: the two rode together a lot during Webb’s “best offseason ever” and have completely contrasting styles and strategies that we can watch play out on track. And to be honest, this might have even given Eli more motivation to stay around for another year.

Five frames that show the pass for the lead in 450 Heat Race Two.
First timer. Thomas Welch has done a handful of East Coast Nationals, but Foxborough was the Maryland racer’s first Supercross Main Event. He finished 21st.
Small-bore style check with Pierce Brown.
Coty Schock
Nick Romano
And Daxton Bennick.
Marshal Weltin had a different motivation for staying upright than most in the Main Event: if he crashed or stalled the bike, there was a worry it wouldn’t restart. The Gizmo Mods/Rock River/Yamaha rider had to bump start the YZF before the Main Event and knew that a mistake would be the end of his moto, so he expertly negotiated the course and finished in ninth.
Look closely at the engraving on the prosecco bottles: first is done in gold, second is in silver, third is in bronze.
After a few weeks of testing and improvements to the engine’s performance, Liqui Moly Beta Factory Racing bolted the FMF Racing exhausts back on the 450 RX.
We’ve noticed a handful of riders have added these wings to the lower portions of their frames, a small piece that gives them more room to grip with their boots. We’ll talk to more guys about the mod in Nashville and Philly.

The opening lap was not easy for Lawrence, who found himself near the rear of the field after slight contact with Malcolm Stewart in Turn One…
And then at the top of the berm after an early outside pass attempt on Colt Nichols.
Just another practice moto for Ken and Chase.
Yeah, he’s not looking at the board.
Through the middle and in the groove?
Or high and over the ruts?
Cooper Webb’s dominant run of holeshot, every lap led, fastest individual lap, and a Main Event victory was impressive, as it showed he regained some of the early season intensity that was stifled by a slight arm injury after Birmingham. It’s all tied up.
Time for Tennessee.
