2024 MOTOCROSS OF NATIONS | COMPLETE COVERAGE
Coming to you from Matterley Basin, site of the 73rd Motocross of Nations. The year’s biggest MX race is shaping up to be an all-time event, as thousands of fans are ready to watch the best riders from 36 countries compete for the famed Chamberlain Trophy. The track has undergone slight revisions since the last GP here, including the rerouting of a few hillside lanes shortly after the start, but it maintains a fast flow that will go up and down through the valley.
Weather for the weekend has been a major concern, as England in October can be grey, and the hard pack dirt can become very sticky and heavy when wet. Saturday’s qualifying motos are set to take place under sunny skies and in 60 degree temperatures, but the chance of rain increases overnight and the current forecast has a 50% chance of showers on Sunday afternoon.
Enjoy the footage from Thursday’s setup and a walk around the track, Friday’s ballot draw, practice start session, and the evening parade. Check back later for more content from the Qualifying motos, the 20-minute and two lap races that will determine gate picks for Sunday’s finale.
