2024 Pro Motocross Championship | Thunder Valley | Round Three

Round three of the Pro Motocross Championship kicked off this morning at Thunder Valley, just outside of Morisson, CO. Moments ago, Timed Qualifying sessions took place, where riders in both the 250 Class and 450 Class got a half-hour to learn the race circuit through two 15-minute sessions.

Just a week after his scary crash and maybe his most difficult weekend on a 450, Jett Lawrence topped the charts in 450 Timed-Qualifying. The Team Honda HRC rider logged a 2:10.342 in the first session of practice, which withstood the lap times in the final session.

Hunter Lawrence was just behind his brother on the lap-time sheets, as he laid down a 2:11.465 in the first session of Timed Qualifying. The Team Honda HRC rider was also the fastest rider in the final session of practice, as he just edged out Jason Anderson’s best lap.

Justin Cooper rounded out the top-3 on the 450 Timed-Qualifying leaderboards. The Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha rider laid down a 2:12.205 in that first session of timed qualifying, before the course got rougher.

As some expected, Ty Masterpool came out swinging at Thunder Valley aboard his Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki KX250. The fill-in rider laid down an impressive 2:16.262 and just edged out Haiden Deegan’s fast lap to collect his first pole-position of the season.

Current 250MX Championship points-leader Haiden Deegan was next on the Timed Qualifying leaderboards. The Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha rider laid down a 2:16.290 in that first session of practice.

Chance Hymas continues to impress aboard his Team Honda HRC CRF250R, as he turned the third best lap time in the 250MX class. Chance’s 2:16.507 from the first session of Timed Qualifying was almost a half-second faster than the next best time.
