Presented by Fasthouse

If you’ve spent any time at all at the local motocross tracks, you already know that more than ever, females are joining in on the fun and getting after it on motocross bikes, That being said, what do women look for out of a new dirt bike? Lighter (usually), shorter (usually…sorry Humberto), and with different leg/torso proportions than men, surely their preferences about what they look for in a new machine, For the fifth year in a row, we invited a member of the fairer sex to join us at our 2024 250 MX Shootout

Kailey Skelton has helped SML with several testing ventures over the years and as a professional mountain bike racer, she knows how to feel what her ride is doing and knows well how to communicate with mechanics and technicians about what she likes and doesn’t like.

Kailey Skelton’s Choices

  1. Husqvarna FC 250
  2. Yamaha YZ250F
  3. Gas Gas MC 250
  4. KTM 250 SX-F
  5. Kawasaki KX250
  6. Honda CRF250R

“The Husqvarna FC 250 is extremely comfortable for me right off the bat. I love the updated suspension settings as they are plush plush and give me confidence. Being so light, I struggle to find traction and I feel like the Husky rides with me and tracks wherever I need it to. The mapping is so good! The aggressive setting is my favorite. I am not as aggressive as some riders so it was nice to know the power was there when I needed it! The FC 250 is comfortable in shape and ergonomics. It is easy to corner on and very comfortable around the entire track. The lower suspension platform was perfect for having confidence when stopping and going. This bike is perfect for me.”
