Announcing the KTM/Husqvarna Electric Challenge at the 2020 Mini Major

Share

Presented by KTM and Husqvarna

The 2020 Mini Major just got even more exciting! We’ve partnered with KTM and Husqvarna to create the first-ever Electric Challenge! One each of the three race days, 15 lucky racers will be selected to compete, free of charge, aboard KTM E5 and Husqvarna EE 5 electric 50s!

Step 1 – Use the online pre-registration page found at www.swapmotoraceseries.com and look for the KTM / Husky Electric Challenge class and sign up for free! To be eligible for the class you must be registered in a paid 50cc class.

Step 2 – On Thursday, September 24th at 7:50 AM riders will be chosen to compete in the first annual event. If your name is selected you will get a practice session on the KTM E5 or a Husqvarna EE5 provided by the Electric Challenge crew at the track. Each rider will get one practice session on the bike during the day and classes will be posted with rider names and days they will line up to race.

Step 3 – Classes will be built with the influence of the Swapmoto Race Series staff taking into account riders’ skill level and age to try and keep each racer with a similar pace of riders. Each class of racers will include 15 riders. The class list will include the list of 15 racers for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Each rider selected will race just one day during the weekend race schedule. We look forward to your participation in the KTM / Husqvarna Electric Challenge! Make sure to preregister as we expect to get more than the allowed 45 entries which will require a random blind drawing on Thursday morning before the race.
