Austin Forkner usually rolls to the starting line at the 2019 Monster Energy Supercross Series with a pair of headphones on, so a few weeks back, we asked the 250 East Coast region leader to give us a quick rundown of the songs that he’s listening to before the gate drops. Now, we did this a few years ago when Forkner was a newcomer to the professional ranks and his picks were much, much different than now. “I was into rap, but all of the new stuff is garbage,” he explained when we pointed out the change from rap to rock. “All of the mumble rap and Tekashi 6ix9ine and Lil Pump and all of that, it’s awful.”
So what is the preferred genre of Forkner’s new tunes? “I like anything that goes hard or is punk rock-ish. I watched binge-watched all of the old Nitro Circus videoes and downloaded some of the songs that were in those.”

Not what I expected from him, pretty cool to see that. Makes you wonder what the other boys listen to while lined up. Personally, I’ve either got Pennywise or Biggie Smalls rockin’ out. Nice stuff, thanks!
