CH33RS | Josh Grant Returns to Racing

When the gate dropped at the Anaheim One Monster Energy Supercross Championship Series, one rider who was conspicuously absent was former A12 winner Josh Grant. With no factory ride secured for 2019, Grant elected to sit on the sidelines and pursue other ways to earn a living to support his family, such as one-off races and joining his dad in the family construction business. Hard-charging and stylish, JG’s absence has been felt during the first half of the series. Monster Energy Yamaha’s Aaron Plessinger suffered an unfortunate injury – a broken heel at the Daytona Supercross – and will miss several weeks as he heals up, and Yamaha’s Keith McCarty gave Grant a call to see if he’d like to fill in. Yamaha and JG are currently negotiating the details of the fill-in ride, but it appears as if we could see the number 33 on the starting line sooner than later. How do you think JG will fare?
