Larry Brooks is a name you should know well if you have been a motocross and Supercross fan for any length of time. A former mini bike prodigy turned top 125 privateer, Brooks went on to manage several race teams, winning multiple Supercross Championships with the King himself, Jeremy McGrath. After taking some time away from the races, Brooks dipped his toe back into the water by managing the BarX Suzuki team last year before accepting an offer with the Progressive Insurance/Ecstar/Suzuki team for 2023. Only a few days into his new job, the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to sign Ken Roczen came up, and suddenly, Brooks found himself again running a team with one of the most prolific riders in the sport! We caught up with him today at San Diego’s Snapdragon Stadium.
