Christian Craig’s First Day on Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha

Share

One of the worst-kept secrets of the 2020 silly season was Christian Craig’s switch to the Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha team. We first began to hear rumors of the switch while we were still in Salt Lake City, Utah, for the Supercross marathon, and Yamaha broke the official news of Craig’s switch last week in this press release.

Today, Craig threw his leg over a Yamaha YZ250F for the first time at Fox Raceway in Pala, California, where he ended the last 450 moto of the season with a career-best second-place. From the first lap, Christian looked comfortable and confident in the blue machine, and he also already appeared to have developed a good working relationship with his new mechanic, Derek Rankin. Swapmoto Live was on hand for Craig’s first day on the bike, and captured some video and photos for your viewing pleasure.
