Custom Helmet Gallery | Are Lids Cooler in Japan?

We attended the All-Japan National MX Championship Series finale in Sendai, Japan, last weekend, and as always one of the things that stood out after we got done drooling on all the cool factory bikes were the custom-painted helmets. While stock graphics have gotten better than ever and seem to rule the landscape in AMA racing, the majority of racers in Japan have custom paint on their helmets. From clean and classy to gaudy and 80s-style, we loved them all. Check out this gallery of helmets from Japan and comment which one you like the best!
