AMSOIL El Dorado | Round Four | Glen Helen

The AMSOIL Swapmoto Race Series rolled into Glen Helen Raceway for the second time in 2021, as the El’ Dorado tour made its fourth stop of the new year last weekend. Well over 900 eager racers rolled into the San Bernardino, CA facility for a wild day of racing in the wind. The track crew at Glen Helen did their best to keep water on the track, as the high winds battled against us throughout the day. However, poor weather conditions didn’t seem to fade the racers, as nearly a thousand riders lined-up and crossed the finish line with smiles on their faces. Round four of the AMSOIL El’ Dorado series was definitely one for the books, and we look forward to wrapping the series up in a few weeks at State Fair MX!

As for the fast guys; the pro classes held a strong turnout, which has seemed to become the usual at the AMSOIL Swapmoto race series. However, the fastest laps of the day were clearly logged by our buddy Trevor Stewart. Trevor lined up in both the Pro 450F and Pro Open (125-450) classes aboard his KX450F and seemed to snag each of his four-individual moto wins with ease, as he finished over 30-seconds ahead of the rest of the class in each race. Although Trevor’s racing career is currently in the off-road side of the sport, he still rips on a moto track, especially when that track is a dry and rough Glen Helen course. At the end of the day, Trevor took home four impressive moto wins and two overall class victories.

And now for the little guys; the younger classes seem to be continuously growing at the AMSOIL Swapmoto Race Series, as we see a few more new faces each round. One of the most consistently stacked classes at the El Dorado series has been the Open 65cc (No Beginners) class, and that reigned true again at round four. However, Jacob Garcia seemed to fend off the competition with ease in the Open 65cc class, as he dominated with a 1-1 performance. Jacob also went on to take the overall victory in the 9-11 years 65cc class after winning the second moto on a rough Glen Helen track.
