Introducing Taki Koga

When the gate drops at Hangtown this Saturday to kick off the 2019 450 MX National Championship Series, there will be a new face on the starting line. 2018 All Japan National MX Champion Taiki Koga has passed on the chance to run the number-one plate in his home country and will instead spend the summer racing a Kawasaki KX450 in the Lucas Oil MX Nationals. Koga’s effort is backed mainly by his sponsors in Japan, but he is receiving some unofficial assistance from Kawasaki Japan. Based out of the Shimoda family’s MXTF SoCal in Menifee, California, Koga has his sights set on finishing inside the top 15.

Our friend Masa Shirotani of SoCal Media Factory sent us this video that introduces the newest Japanese racing in the United States.
