Signing up for the final rounds of the 2021 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship was Jeff Crutcher’s focus for the summer. A veteran of the 25+, 250, and 450 Pro Classes throughout the Midwest, the Kansas racer rallied sponsors, organized a once in a lifetime trip to California, and drove his van to the Fox Raceway and Hangtown events. Crutcher had a fresh GASGAS waiting for him on the West Coast, thanks to to some help from SoCal MX insider Dennis Stapleton, and outfitted it with his personal suspension components and other assorted pieces.
A longtime friend of the SML Staff, we sat down with Jeff ahead of the Hangtown finale and discussed how things came together, what racers can do to earn more sponsorship support, and why the allure of having his name listed in the Vault made the effort worthwhile.
