Monster Energy and Dirt Shark know what motocross fans want to see. Every video that the crew comes up with racks up hundreds of thousands of views online, are talked about in bench racing sessions everywhere and are worthy of a second (or tenth) watch years down the road. Dirt Shark is a driving force behind the two-wheel content produced by Monster Energy and it’s clear that he’s paying homage to the raw riding videos and Crusty Demons clips that he grew up watching. That’s certainly the case in the latest Lurk Creative production, which is the second take of their past work with Justin Barcia at his home in the South, but with a two-stroke twist.

With the help of Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing, Mitch Payton at Pro Circuit, and John Anderson at Dubya Wheels, Barcia built a modest yet still badass YZ250 two-stroke. Barcia is the perfect person for a two-stroke video, as his loose yet aggressive riding style is exactly what it takes to get the most out of the premix burning bike. The way Barcia bounces over obstacles and buries the bike into deep loam, all while still staying within the revs of the powerband, is impressive and shows just how diverse and skilled he is.

If you need another Monster Energy two-stroke clip, further down is the video that was released last fall with Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Eli Tomac on one of the few remaining KX250 factory bikes…
