Even though I busted my neck at the tail end of last summer’s Salt Lake City Supercross marathon, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and the whole three-week experience felt much like summer camp. That said, I was anxious for the Houston triple-header that kicked off the 2021 Monster Energy Supercross series, and looked forward to the 10-day stay in the Lone Star State. Well, after a few days of being locked up in the Air BnB with no bicycles, I had to tap out and go home after Tuesday’s second round. Call me ADD, but the thought of the three days between rounds two and three being spent sitting at the kitchen table in that house was unbearable. Simply put, I had to get home to ride!
