Early in my moto journalism career, it was a thrill for me to watch my friend Damon Huffman turn pro after a stellar amateur career, and go on to win two 125 Supercross Championships. From our days at the CMC local races to riding trials bikes in the hills, and from watching him win Supercross races to traveling overseas for off-season international races; we have always had a lot of fun. Recently, Officer Huffman and I have reconnected (yes, he’s LAPD now) for some mountain bike rides and he hasn’t changed a bit…Still very talented on two wheels and still armed with the same dry sense of humor. Last week, we got together for a ride in the hills and it was a blast!
Also, a big “Get Well” to our guy Chase Curtis, who is on the injured reserve for a few months following a big crash.
