LOOK BACK AT THE 2019 SUPERCROSS SEASON WITH RED BULL’S MOTO SPY SERIES

These last few years have most certainly been the toughest of Ken Roczen’s life. The multi-time champion was in a good place when he signed a contract with Team Honda HRC and the early results on the CRF450R made run of dominance look likely. But it all took a turn for the worse when he destroyed his left arm in a 2017 crash and mangled his right hand in a 2018 incident. The brutal back to back injuries should have been the end of his career, but with time and determination, Roczen has reclaimed his rank as one of the best in the world.

Roczen’s arm injuries have been covered at length from that January 2017 night to now, but they haven’t been the only life-changing moment in his life. Earlier this year, his brother-in-law and training coach Blake Savage was severely injured in a crash during a practice day with Roczen and he’s spent the time since regaining the ability to use his legs. To see how much the sport can take away and still have the desire to ride shows how much motocross means to Roczen, and this topic was the focus in this episode of MX Nation.
