New Fox Racing Helmet On The Way

While at Fox Raceway on Tuesday, we spotted Ken Roczen in an all-new Fox Racing helmet. Now, this is not the first time that we’ve seen the lid out in public, because one of Fox Racing’s key product test riders has run a plain black paint job for a few months, but it’s the first time that a high-level pro has run it publically. To Roczen’s credit, he kept the helmet hidden in his pick-up truck all day so people weren’t able to see it too closely.

If you’re familiar with Fox Racing’s catalog, you can tell that this new design has a very similar appearance to their Rampage Pro full-face mountain bike helmet, especially the vents in the chin bar. Fox Racing has been tight-lipped about the helmet and simply said that more information will come in the next few weeks (around Las Vegas Supercross). But if the Rampage Pro is any indication, expect Fox Racing to implement their “Fluid Inside® technology” inner liner “which mimics your body’s natural cerebral spinal fluid to manage both linear and rotational impact energy.” And it looks like the magnetic MVRS (Magnetic Visor Release System) will be a feature of the new helmet, too.

Roczen, Chad Reed, Tim Gajser, and the GEICO Honda team have all worn the current Fox Racing V3 helmet in 2019.
