Sometimes racing gets taken way too seriously. Riders are expected to stick to a day to day grind of training, traveling, and competition, which leaves little chance for individuality to be shown to the public. And that’s a damn shame. The stars of the sport are young adults in the prime of their lives and they should be able to enjoy the outcome of their efforts without guilt or criticism. We might just find out it makes racing more fun…

Justin Bogle, Colt Nichols, and Brad Frace are doing just that this year. The three are part of the Pak X Emh clique with other close friends like Merk and CP Tha God, and all share interests in basketball, clothing, and soulful R&B/hip-hop. They’ve put out different pieces of music or video over the years, all of which reflect their personalities.

2019 has been an important time for Bogle and Nichols; with a spot at Rocky Mountain ATV-MC/WPS/KTM, Bogle is in the process of rebuilding his status after a list of injuries and Nichols is breaking out as one of the top 250 riders with Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha, while Frace captures it all on camera. They have turned the Saturday morning arrival at the track into an event the same way NBA players have, with clothing that would excite any streetwear fanatic and calm confidence that says, “Yeah, we know you might think it’s strange but this is what we’re about.”

To some of you, none of this matters. You just want to see people go as fast as they can on a dirt bike and wish that every rider still acted like it was the 90s, with Dickies shorts and high socks and a nu-metal playlist. And that’s cool, that’s your vibe, the same way that Pak X Emh is for Bogle, Nichols, and Frace. Let the dudes have their thing. If you get it, great. And if you don’t, that’s okay. There’s plenty more out there for you.

To shed the concerns of what others have about your personality, your look, or your performance is a freeing feeling. It allows one to tap into your full potential. Here’s Volume One of “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” a collection of media by Pak X Emh that gives you a glimpse into their world.
