2020 RACE TEAM PRESEASON PHOTO SHOOT GALLERIES
PHOTOS | YAMAHA & OCTOPI MEDIA
We’re just a few weeks away from the start of the 2020 race season and teams are starting to share material from the preseason photos shoots, including Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing. Justin Barcia and Aaron Plessinger return to their spots in the Blu Cru, complete with the all-new 2020 YZ450F race bike, for the full Supercross and motocross schedule. Widely regarded as the most powerful 450 of the big six, the team has spent the preseason tuning the YZ450F to the rider’s liking (Barcia made waves when he said that he would like to ride a mostly stock bike in November, but how close to production they have kept the bike remains to be seen).
Yamaha was historically strict in their desires to make blue the primary color of the motorcycles and rider’s gear, but with Monster Energy now a title sponsor, the bikes are mostly black with deep blue accents in select body panels, graphics, wheels, carbon fiber of the Pro Circuit exhaust. One thing we noticed in these images is that Yamaha has brought in Rekluse as a technical partner and the bikes will use components from the innovative clutch company, not the hydraulic systems produced by Yamaha and Rinaldi Racing they have used at different times in the past.
