2020 THUNDER VALLEY MOTOCROSS | COMPLETE COVERAGE

While running errands near the 2020 Thunder Valley Motocross track on Friday afternoon, we caught Benny Bloss and Kevin Moranz in the parking lot of their hotel and decided there was no better time to hear from the Midwest privateers than now. Press play on the videos below…

The Thunder Valley Motocross will be the last Lucas Oil Pro Motocross race for Benny Bloss in 2020. The KT Tape/Truck Centers/Donnell’s rider faced his share of ups and downs during the series, from fast laps to mechanical failures and lingering injuries. The Florida Motocross was particularly rough for Bloss, something he detailed on camera, but he’s ready to end the summer with a bang in Colorado. Although the desired race results have been elusive, Bloss has plenty to be happy about at home in Oklahoma, including the wait for his first child and motos at the track his family owns in Missouri.

Kevin Moranz has followed the full 2020 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship as a competitor in the 250 Class. Staying in the small-bore division is something Moranz knows goes against the norm in privateer circles, due to the lower purse pay and added expense, but that hasn’t kept the Kansas racer from following through with what he has planned for his career. Moranz has hovered around the top-20 all year and scored a season-best 14th place finish in 250 Moto Two at the 2020 Florida Motocross. As the series comes to a close, we grabbed a few minutes with him to talk about the summer, training at Ricky Carmichael’s GOAT Farm, and his individual helmet sponsorship program.
