RED BULL MOTO SPY | COMPLETE SERIES

The final installment of the Red Bull Moto Spy video series has dropped and it’s a fitting wrap-up to the 2019 Monster Energy Supercross Series. Filmed through the closing rounds of the season, the video shows the weekly work, the industry talk, the racing, and post-race parties that draw us to motocross. Few online video series have shown the balance of highs and lows that professional racers experience as well as this one.

It’s safe to assume that when the film crew started production back in the offseason, they didn’t expect the final episode would be a Cooper Webb celebration reel. In his first year with Red Bull KTM, it was widely considered a rebuilding season for the multi-time 250 MX and SX champion, as his career had gone awry after to two injury-filled years. With the team’s resources and his talent, Webb went from expected top-seven finisher to series points leader in just a few weeks time. Once in control of the championship, Webb remained consistent through the heart of the long series and kept teammate Marvin Musquin and late contender Eli Tomac at bay for the 450 class title. From the look of the footage, the Red Bull KTM team went about the last two rounds like nothing was on the line and that seemed to help Webb seal the deal at the final round.

As for Ken Roczen, the clips bring a little more context to his troubles of the Supercross season while showing the perks of being a professional athlete. With high-end watchmaker Breitling as a personal sponsor, the Team Honda HRC rider picked through the company’s offerings at their NYC showroom and then lined up in East Rutherford for the sixteenth round of the season.
