One of the biggest innovations to sweep through modern mountain biking is the pedal-assist category. Purists will turn their noses up and declare that those who ride e-bikes are cheaters, but the fact that pedal-assist bikes are gaining momentum and bringing new participants into two-wheeled sports is undeniable. Specialized is a leader in e-bikes and is also heavily involved in motocross and Supercross, sponsoring several teams and racers for many years now. We first got our first glimpse of the 2022 Turbo Kenevo SL on a ride with the SmarTop/BullFrog Spas/Motoconcepts/Honda guys, as Vince Friese and Mitchell Oldenburg were using them for some cross-training.
