2020 TEAM ROSTERS & RUMORS

Recent signings by Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing will shape their lineup for years to come and on Friday morning, the team announced that current amateur rider Stilez Robertson is their latest pickup. Since Robertson is slated to transition to the A Class this year, he will fill the void left by Jalek Swoll in the development division and move to the pro class full-time in 2021.

The last few years have been up and down for Robertson, as injuries and issues kept him from lining up at some of the most prestigious amateur events. Things seem to be on the right track now, thanks to the 250 B title and his runner-up finish in Schoolboy 2 12-17 B/C at the summer’s 2019 AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship.

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing confirmed contract extensions with Dean Wilson and Michael Mosiman over the summer, but are yet to announce RJ Hampshire’s move to the squad for 2020 and beyond; that news should come around the first part of October.

The press release from Husqvarna, including quotes from Robertson and team manager Bobby Hewitt, is posted in full below…

Husqvarna Motorcycles North America, Inc. is pleased to announce the long-term signing of Stilez Robertson, who is set to join the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team in 2020. Robertson will cap off his amateur motocross career through the end of 2020 before making his professional debut with the team in 2021.

Fresh off a 250 B National Championship and runner-up finish in the Schoolboy 2 12-17 B/C class at the 2019 AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn’s, Robertson has achieved great results at the highest level of amateur racing and he looks to continue his success with the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team.

Next up, the Bakersfield, California native is set to compete at select 2020 Supercross Futures events in conjunction with the AMA Supercross Championship schedule.

Stilez Robertson, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team: “I’m super excited about joining the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Racing Team. They are such an elite team to be a part of and it feels amazing. I’m ready to put in the work and get some good results for them!”

Bobby Hewitt, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team Manager: “Stilez has obviously shown great potential throughout his amateur racing career and we’re looking forward to working with him as he transitions from the amateur ranks into his professional career. Knowing that we have a young man like Stilez joining our program has me thinking that the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team has a bright future.”
