AMSOIL Terra Firma | Round Three | Perris Raceway

The AMSOIL Swapmoto Race Series rolled into Perris Raceway this past weekend for round three of the Terra Firma series. The clouds shaded the track throughout the day and hundreds of racers filtered through the gates of the Perris, CA facility for an exciting day of racing on an oddly cool summer day. The track crew at Perris Raceway spent a good amount of time grooming both courses to provide racers with the best tracks possible, and man were they in epic conditions. All said, round three of the AMSOIL Terra Firma series was definitely one for the books and we look forward to continue the series in three weeks at State Fair, see you there!

As always, the talented youngsters came in great numbers at the third round of the AMSOIL Terra Firma series. The Supermini gates were stacked, and with a challenging course that offered multiple lines, each class held some exciting battles. However, Storme Hawks seemed to be the common denominator in the both the age-group and Supermini classes, as he raced his way to a win in each race he lined up for. At the end of the day, Storme dominated in the 12-13 years 85/150F, Open 85-150F/Supermini, and Big Wheel Open 85/150F classes after going 1-1 in each separate field.

The Pro classes have held some all-time battles throughout the AMSOIL Terra Firma series and that reigned true, once again, at round three this past weekend. The track crew at Perris Raceway ripped the course a little deeper than usual and even built up a couple berms on the insides of corners to provide racers with multiple options. That being said, the track became quite technical throughout the day, which catered to some intense battles in the pro class. Though, Cole Cook seemed to stick out amongst the rest in both the Pro 250F and Pro Open (125-450) classes, as he worked his way to the front and snagged the win in three of his four motos. You’re going to have to take our word for it, but Cole’s effort level was certainly shown while he battled his way into the top spot multiple times. Thanks for the show, Cole!
