Thomas Covington Reveals Illness

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Thomas Covington has gone public about his lack of form since returning to the United States after spending the first few years of his professional career racing the MX2 World Championships.

“Sorry I’ve been silent to everyone as to what’s been going on the last few weeks. After seeing the doctor and having tests done this week, I’ve been diagnosed with Epstein-Barr Virus,” he said on his Instagram account @bigairtom.

“I’ve been super tired and lacking strength for around a month now and really hit a wall last weekend in Colorado. That’s when I knew something had to be wrong. Doing everything I can now to be back to myself as soon as possible. Thanks to everyone’s continued support and a huge thank you to Rockstar Husky for helping me through this.”

On a positive note, Covington announced a couple days later that he and his girlfriend were engaged on Friday night. Congratulations to the young couple!
