Price: $99.95

When we think of Moose Racing, we normally think of motocross and off-road apparel. Imagine our surprise when a big box containing a Moose Racing Pro MR-1 Bike Stand showed up! Made of black powdercoated aluminum tubes, the stand instantly reminded us of the titanium Akrapovic stands used by Team Red Bull KTM. Those, however, are both super expensive and quite possibly impossible to come by, as they are no longer listed on the exhaust maker’s website for sale. We had one back in the day and it was super light, but when our friend Brian “Big B” Barnes asked us for it, we gladly handed it over to the Monster Energy Kawasaki truck driver.

The Moose Racing Pro-M1 Bike Stand meanwhile, has quickly become one of our favorites! Before we tell you why, let’s review its features…

  • Open top design allows for use with any type off-road bike. Can adjust bike to sit with front-wheel on ground, rotated back so rear wheel is on ground or centrally located so that both wheels are off the ground.
  • Made from light wt. aluminum construction with black finish
  • With open top design, it allows for easy access to oil drain plug for servicing the motorcycle on the stand.
  • Rubber protection pads on top tubes, provide non-slip surface for frame tubes to rest.
  • Side accent panels provide an area to add name, number, or sponsor logos.
  • Measurements: Base 17 1/2″ Length, 16″ Wide, 17″ Tall Top Measurements are: 11″X 11″ top pad Tubing size:1 1/4″ tubing on main tubes and 1″ cross members

Okay, here’s why we love the new stand from Moose.

  • The open-top design allows plenty of access to the bike’s drain plug and it’s a lot easier to perform the nastiest task in maintenance than through a circular opening. Furthermore, you can powerwash the bottom of the bike while on the stand and do not have to take it off the stand and lean it over to do so.
  • The stand is super light and its wide base is sturdy. When flipped upside down in the back of your truck, the stand can accept all gas cans for storage.
  • The Moose Pro MR-1 Stand is tall enough to lift both wheels of a Honda CRF off of the ground, evenly. Because the top of the stand consists of two rails, the curved lower frame rails of the CRF chassis rest between them as opposed to throwing the bike into an endo as they do with a flat stand. That said, no accessory bump is needed for the front of the stand with a Honda.

The only thing we’ve found about the Moose stand that could be considered shortfalls have to do with its dual-rail top. Unlike a traditional stand, you can’t use this one as a step to help get into the truck bed while loading up.

All in all, we love the new Moose Racing Pro MR-1 Bike Stand. It’s functional, light in weight, and affordable at under a hundred bucks!
