Tyler Bereman went through it all in the past year. A bronze medal finish in Moto-X Quarterpipe at the 2018 X Games, support from industry-leading brands like Red Bull/Fasthouse/Bell Helmets, and a free-flowing schedule put the former racer into a new career path and he was set to enjoy all of the spoils that came from years of work. But it all changed in an instant. The excited rush to ride at the Day In The Dirt event in Australia kept him from checking the gas level in the bike and the engine shut off at the worst possible moment, on the face of a large jump that he was too committed to back away from. The resulting impact with the ground left Bereman with a list of serious injuries (a shattered talus, the heel and navicular of his right foot, a torn ACL in his knee) and he spent the better part of the next year on the mend.

The injury occurred just as Bereman and the Red Bull crew started filming a big-effort video, one that included shoots at well-known spots in Southern California and Florida. Down but not out, Bereman and the Red Bull crew were determined to get the clips in the can for a project as soon as he was cleared to ride, then uploaded it just before Bereman made the trip to Minnesota for the 2019 X Games.

Props on the comeback, Tyler, and to everyone at Red Bull for their work on a one of a kind edit and a telling profile piece on the whole process.
