Grom Bike Shootout! | Stacyc vs. SSR Sprinter

Share

With the holidays rapidly approaching, we’re betting that a STACYC is near the top of your kid’s Christmas wish list. With battery-powered electric motors, knobby tires, and sturdy aluminum frames, what kid wouldn’t want to rip around one of these bad boys? In all reality, the advent of this new category invented by STACYC is going to give motocross a shot in the arm in the coming years, as making the transition to a gas-powered PW50 or other mini bike is only natural.

As is always the case with an exciting new product, others are sure to join in on the fun. SSR Motorsports is known best for its like of pit and play bikes that are manufactured in China (we’ve been having a blast on the SSR S189!) The SSR Sprinter 12″ and 16″ come in with similar features and lower price tags ($479 vs. $649 for a 12″ and $549 vs. $849 for the 16″). In true motocross fashion, we wanted to know if the price savings was enough to warrant going with the new player in town…it’s shootout time!
