RED BULL IMAGINATION 2021 | COMPLETE COVERAGE

We’re on location in Kansas for this year’s running of Red Bull Imagination, a freeride event like no other. The plot of property outside the small town of Fort Scott has become a masterpiece thanks to work by energy drink giant Red Bull, motocross legend in the making Tyler Bereman, and excavator extraordinaire Jason Baker, and the next few days should produce some of the biggest FMX footage ever. This will be the second running of the Imagination event, and as expected of any ongoing project, the group has made some adjustments to the course, roster, and competition format.

The group wants to really let riders run wild in 2021, so they’ve done away with the hard boundaries that come with having a designated “starting line/finish line” and one-direction course. Instead, they’ve decided to let the talent take off from wherever they want with hopes that they can squeeze in as many creative jumps-combinations as possible into a timed, judged run. The course’s new elements will include a larger transfer park, fun boxes, dirt lips in the back of dump trucks, and a more versatile quarterpipe that will suit riders of various skill levels, but 2020 favorites like the Tree Jump and Shark Fin section are back and better than ever.
