CHECK OUT OUR COMPLETE COVERAGE OF THE 2022 INDIANAPOLIS SUPERCROSS

The 2022 Monster Energy Supercross series has arrived inside the home of the Colts, as round nine and Indianapolis Supercross is officially here. Riders spent Saturday morning learning the unique track that fills the center of Lucas Oil Stadium, and to no surprise, the lap times are incredibly close. The front-runners in the 250 East Coast and 450 Class were split by just fractions of a second on the qualifying sheets, building the anticipation for tonight’s gate drops even more!

Here’s a look at the fastest lap times and results…

Honda HRC’s Jett Lawrence continued his dominance in the 250 East Coast division this morning, as he topped the leaderboards in timed-qualifying with a blistering fast 43.826 late in the second and final session of riding. That time came after already setting the fastest lap and bettering that time.

Cameron McAdoo wasn’t far off in timed-qualifying, in fact, the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider finished the first session of qualifying on top. However, his 44.060 was the second fastest time on the time sheets at the end of the final session of qualifying.

Pierce Brown seems to be improving each week, as the TLD/RedBull/GasGas rider finished qualifying in third place on the leaderboards with a 44.616, look for the number-44 GasGas to be towards the front of the pack in tonight’s race.

Eli Tomac continues to impress, as he came out swinging in timed-qualifying and ultimately finished on top of the leaderboards in both individual riding sessions. In the second and final session of qualifying, the Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha rider laid down a blistering fast 43.041 on the technical Indianapolis race course.

Jason Anderson was just behind in qualifying, as the Monster Energy Kawasaki rider seems to be all good after last weekend’s scary incident. Jason ended qualifying in second place on the leaderboards with a 43.124.

Third place in 450 qualifying went to Malcolm Stewart, as the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider laid down a 43.331 late in the final session of riding, just a few hundredths off of the fastest time logged.

Justin Brayton and Shane McElrath are both sitting the night out after separate incidents in free practice.
