2023 CHARLOTTE SUPERMOTOCROSS | COMPLETE COVERAGE

Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha and Cooper Webb have confirmed their reunion through a two-year agreement, which starts this weekend at the first round of the SuperMotocross Championship in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Webb parted ways with Red Bull KTM in July through a mutual agreement with the Austrian OEM and spent the some of the downtime getting up to speed on the blue bike at Star Racing’s property in southern Georgia.

Webb made his pro debut with the Star Racing team in 2013, then earned three number one plates between 2015 and 2016 with back to back 250 West Coast regionals titles and the 250 Outdoor National championship.

The two-time 450 Supercross champion has 21 career Main Event wins and is tied with Ken Roczen for eleventh on the all-time list.

Longtime mechanic Alex Campbell has been assigned to look after the YZ450F. Campbell was part of Dylan Ferrandis’ title runs in the 250 and 450 Classes in 2019, 2020, and 2021. Webb and Campbell will be together for the SMX kickoff, and Josh Ellingson will work with Ferrandis for the next three races.
