AMSOIL Terra Firma | Round One | Glen Helen

And we’re off! The 2021 AMSOIL Terra Firma series is officially underway as racing kicked off this past weekend at Glen Helen Raceway. Hundreds of racers joined us at the legendary San Bernardino, CA facility for a day of racing under the sun. With high-temperatures in the forecast, the crew at Glen Helen made sure to keep water on both tracks throughout the day to provide racers with the best possible course. That being said, two exciting tracks paired with well over 500 racers made for a memorable first race of the Terra Firma series.

The heat didn’t seem to faze the fast guys, especially if we are talking about Rockstar Energy Husqvarna’s Talon Hawkins. Talon lined up in both the Intermediate 250F and 450F classes to do battle and easily set the fastest laps of the day while running away with the lead in each of his four motos. While racing to his wins in the Intermediate classes, Talon managed to catch and pass the racers in the pro class. With his raw speed, exciting line choice, and fitness, we’re eager to see what Hawkins can do in the professional ranks in the future. As for round one of the Terra Firma series, Talon left Glen Helen with four individual moto wins and two overall class victories.

The two-strokes were out at the Terra Firma series opener, as the high-pitched screams echoed off the Glen Helen hills throughout the day. Hayden Robinson was among those who choose to pilot a two-stroke, as he lined up in both the 125cc Open and School Boy (125/250F) classes aboard his Husqvarna TC125. Hayden raced his way to four individual wins on the day, meaning he won every race he lined up for. With those impressive rides in mind, we think it’s safe to say that Hayden had a solid day at the Terra Firma series opener.
