The eighth round of the 2023 Pro Motocross Championship is officially underway, as riders spent Saturday morning logging laps during qualifying at the 2023 Washougal Motocross. For the most part, the slippery and technical course helped produce incredibly close lap times in both classes. Just fractions of a second split the front-runners in the 250MX and 450MX Class on the qualifying sheets, which ratcheted up the anticipation for today’s racing even more. Here’s a look at the fastest lap times and results…

Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha’s Justin Cooper topped the charts in the PNW. The championship contender set the pace in the opening session of timed qualifying and logged a 2:14.175, which held its position at the top of the time sheets.

Current 250MX Championship points leader Hunter Lawrence bettered his time in the final session of qualifying to jump from 10th place to 2nd place on the leaderboards.

Haiden Deegan looked to be flowing on the technical course, as he set the third best lap time after laying down a heater in the opening session of qualifying.

Before the end of the final timed qualifying session, Team Honda HRC’s Jett Lawrence had topped the charts in the 450MX class with a 2:14.510.

Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Jason Anderson was on the move in the opening session of qualifying, as he held the fastest lap time in the class up until Jett shuffled him back to second on the leaderboards.

Monster Energy Kawasaki teammate Adam Cianciarulo rounded out the top three in timed qualifying, as he laid down a 2:15.632 in the final session of riding.
