2024 FOXBOROUGH SUPERCROSS | COMPLETE COVERAGE

The Monster Energy Supercross Championship returns to action with the 2024 Foxborough Supercross, the thirteenth round in the cross-country tour. A wet week in the Northeast and the open-air design of Gillette Stadium could make the dirt very soft and technical, conditions that riders have endured more than a few times this year, and how they do in Massachusetts will determine the title fights for the 450 Class and the 250 East Region.

The provisional entry list released by the AMA show 110 competitors between the two classes, with 63 in the 250 East Region and 47 in the 450 Class. However, there are a handful of riders with known injuries included in the sheets, and we’ve noted a few of the discrepencies below. The final rosters will be released on Saturday morning as part of the Foxborough page on amasupercross.com.

MISSING FROM ACTION

Enzo Lopes – The Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha rider continues to miss the East Region due to ongoing issues that causes numbness and lack of grip in one hand.

Austin Forkner – The Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider is nearly recovered from the spine and scapula injury he sustained in Arlington.

Jeremy Martin – The Muc-Off/FXR/ClubMX/Yamaha rider will miss the remaining Supercross rounds as he sorts out multiple health issues.

Jett Reynolds – The Muc-Off/FXR/ClubMX/Yamaha rider is sidelined by a shoulder injury.

Cullin Park – The Phoenix Racing Honda rider is back on the motorcycle after a wrist injury and is aiming for a return to action in Pro Motocross.

Stilez Robertson – The Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha rider remains on the sidelines as he continues to recovery from a severe wrist injury suffered in the offseason.

Guillem Farres – The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing rider will miss the rest of Supercross with a broken femur.

Dilan Schwartz – The Toyota of Redlands/BarX/Suzuki rider will miss the East Region as he continues to recovery from a severe wrist injury suffered in the offseason.

MISSING FROM ACTION

Dylan Ferrandis – The Phoenix Racing Honda rider is nearly recovered from multiple issues, including a lung infection, but will miss the weekend’s race.

Dean Wilson – The Fire Power Honda rider is back on the motorcycle after a scapula injury. He will sit out Foxborough but intends to line up in Nashville.

Christian Craig – The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing rider will miss the remainder of Supercross after a recent surgery on a bothersome elbow.

Mitchell Oldenburg – Smartop/MotoConcepts/Honda is not making the cross-country trip to Massachusetts.

John Short –

Logan Karnow – The Onlyfans-backed privateer is in the early stages of recovery following a dislocated ankle suffered at the opening round.

Vince Friese – Smartop/MotoConcepts/Honda is not making the cross-country trip to Massachusetts.

The gray, gravely dirt used for Supercross is much different than the sand 100 miles further west at Southwick, as it’s a soft and loose top layer over the hard and slick base that rewards riders with throttle control.

The start will funnel into a long, gradual left turn and then dump out into the first lane of obstacles. A seven-jump rhythm in the middle of the track will have a few different options, and the 180-turn after it but before the finish line will be prime placing passes during the races. The rest of the track will be technical and intense: tight turn to spec triple, bowl turn to 3-5-3 followed by whoops, another bowl turn, single-table-single, abrupt 84-degree turn, flat run to wall jump, 180-flat turn into another short flat run, bowl turn, sand.
